This was an awesome short horror game, it was very interesting and I really loved the concept and the story telling! It got super dark fast, but I enjoyed the ride! I felt so badly for Leila, and the dog too! The mannequin was super creepy too, It was neat how it it jumped around! I really enjoyed this game and recommend completely! Very good game, honestly, I really loved how the story fitted in how one played the game and overall what I liked the most was the story, you should be really proud of your work. :D
it was a really nice game until now! Unfortunately my game crashed when I entered the locked room on the attic. As I wanted to read the note near the piano, it crashed :(
but I will definitely finish it tomorrow because it was fun and I like the art style !!
Amazing game! It's quite unsettling but I really enjoyed playing it. Everything was well put together; I loved the sharp sounds and the smooth gameplay!
Some notes:
#1: In my first playthrough I was able to open the locked door just by shuffling the lock a bit. I'm not sure if that breaks the game though because I restarted before continuing. I'd suggest doing this: even if you enter the correct code, the door won't unlock UNTIL you read the note on the ground (17:30 in my video).
#2: I must say the red colored text/UI was a bit hard to read at times since it seemed to blend in with the gameplay; maybe adding a white outline or a slightly dark background underneath like on subtitles might do it.
Other than that, 10/10. Looking forward more games from you! 🤗❤️
thanks for the video and your notes!! opening the locked door by randomly shuffling the lock is fine - you can't pick up the key you find behind it if you open it too early (in fact, it shows a different, hidden message). but i appreciate that you restarted just in case :)
This game is so good! The slow realisation of everything that's happening around you, the constant small sounds coupled with the louder more noticable sounds that are perfectly timed. I can only say good things about it.
Amazing horror idea. There are a lot of great ideas and metaphors used throughout. I loved how open it was to different interpretations. It really makes you think who is the real monster in the story.
This game has an absolutely awesome build up and a gem of a story that makes the tension and scares so much better, definitely worth a playthrough and screw the MC.
The Butterfly by Kerineia is truly a mini-masterpiece of horror. The player is always engaged and there is never a boring moment. If you like creepy mansion horror stories, this one is exceptionally good.
It's a rare thing for an indie horror game to leave you thinking about it far after the credits have rolled, but this is exactly what happened with The Butterfly.
Did I just have a fever dream? Or has my conscience finally caught up with me? One thing's for certain, Spotty is a very good boy. Yes, a very good boy indeed.
please add brazilian portuguese language, this game has so much potencial, i would love to do a video about this game, i confess i was recording on english but damn... i got confused on mid game.. i would love if you could add the portuguese language

if you mean the door with the 3-digit lock, yes! it can be opened again :)

Absolutely amazing game! Story is unique and it unfolds dramatically and unexpectedely. Albsolutely recommend to everyone. Visuals are also top notch.
